Adey Adewinmbi, Director of Guest Services and Spencer
My name is Adey I have loved animals since childhood and as they say “a dog is man’s best friend”. Spencer is a best friend and part of our family and as a matter of fact, we call him our son. He brings joy and fun to us at the appropriate time comfort is needed. His cheerful nature cannot be ignored.
Judith Feldman, Director of Special Events and Finn
Finn is a poodle/terrier mix that our family rescued from the pound.
When we got him at 6 months old, we were Finn’s 4th home!!
He had lots of energy and no one could keep up with him……….except my two little girls.
Puppy and kids - a match made in heaven!
Today Finn is two and he is much calmer. He was even selected to be the poster dog for a cover of a kids CD.
On weekends, we go on family hikes and to the beach with……..’The Finster’.
Seth Horowitz, General Manager of the Luxe and Zoey
Zoey is an 18 month old Standard Poodle.
What energy. What a beaut.
My wife Bianca and our girls of 5 and 15 already had 2 tea-cup poodles, Precious and Prince.
Lange Foundation called Bianca, and I begged her not to go and see Zoe.
She went.
We are so thankful Bianca does not listen to me.
Margit Haut, Director of Sales & Marketing and Daisy
Daisy our rescue dog. She is a Terrier - Border Collie Pedigree Mutt.
I thought we had enough on our plate, however, one day went to the new Shelter. Just to 'look' we said. We walked down every isle and then very shyly peering around from her back cage wall was this brown eyed beauty of mutthood.
That face, those eyes, her floppy ears - it was all packaged up in 50 pounds of excitable love with a wagging tail - so we asked to take her out to the play area. Daisy was her name. Fifteen minutes later we spent the best 33 dollars of our lives and we all three walked out of the shelter together. Daisy is our best friend, she protects us and makes us laugh out loud daily.
The "Dazonater" as we call her, loves to ride in the car, eat cookies (any kind), and run with her friends at the dog park. She has us trained to take her on two long walks in the neighborhood, each and every day. It is hard to imagine life before Daisy moved into our hearts and home.
Tricia Shapiro, Corporate Sales Manager and Inari
Inari means Goddess of Food in Japanese. Inari is a Long Haired German Shepherd also known as a Shilo Shepherd.
Tricia and her husband Brad have a 2 year old son named Riley. Together they rescued Inari from Riverside, CA.
“My husband immediately fell in love with her when he saw her picture on the internet. He called the rescue and drove out and picked her up first thing in the morning. She was matted with mud and burrs. She drove home on his lap and has not left his side since. She protects our family and brings smiles to our faces every day.
Inari's daily activities included chasing Riley around the yard and keeping him out of mischief.
